Restorative Dentistry

A Holistic Approach to Restorative Care

Composite Dental Fillings

Our dentists use composite dental fillings, which are free of mercury and other metals that are harmful to your health. Another benefit of composite fillings is that they can be perfectly matched to the color of your teeth. They are also known to require the removal of less enamel than metal fillings, and they bond more tightly to your natural tooth structure, which strengthens your enamel after treatment.

Root Canal Therapy

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy is used to restore infected teeth. During this procedure, the inside of your tooth is cleaned and sanitized to remove the source of decay. Next, the structure of your tooth is restored with a filling or crown to prevent further damage.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and onlays are similar to fillings. However, instead of being applied directly to your tooth like a filling, inlays and onlays are made separately from high-quality porcelain. After they are created, they are applied to your tooth. Like crowns, inlays, and onlays are usually used for teeth that are too decayed or damaged for treatment with a filling.

Dental Crowns

CEREC SAME-DAY DENTAL CROWNS

CEREC crowns are created in our dental office using an advanced 3D scanner and CAD/CAM milling machine. To begin treatment, one of our dentists will scan your mouth, then upload the 3D image to a computer. Using specialized software and the dimensions from your scan, a customized crown is carved out of a solid block of porcelain using our in-office milling machine. With this state-of-the-art technology, we can build and place your crown in a single appointment.

LAB-MADE DENTAL CROWNS

Lab-made crowns are typically made out of a metal base with a porcelain crown. They are very durable, long-lasting, and natural-looking. Since they are built at an outside lab, placement requires at least 2 appointments over a period of 2-3 weeks. However, they may be a better option than CEREC crowns for patients with certain dental issues. For example, if your tooth is broken below the gum line, a lab-made crown may be required.

Fixed Bridges

This treatment can be used to restore one or more missing teeth. Bridges consist of two crowns that are used to support one or more false teeth (pontics), which rest in the gaps where your missing teeth used to be. Bridges are long-lasting and durable, and very convenient to wear. Many patients suffering from tooth loss opt for bridges since you don’t have to remove them for cleaning, unlike partial dentures.

Sedation Dentistry Options

LAUGHING GAS

Laughing gas is a method of minimal sedation that’s ideal for short, straightforward dental implant procedures. You’ll simply breathe through a nose mask, and the laughing gas will make you feel more relaxed, help prevent discomfort, and ensure that you get through your procedure with no anxiety.

IV/GENERAL ANESTHESIA

IV sedation uses powerful sedatives that will likely cause you to fall asleep and forget most of your procedure, but you will remain responsive to commands and can be woken up if needed. General anesthesia, in contrast, will make you unconscious, ensuring that you remain completely comfortable during your appointment.

Full Dentures

Full dentures are a great way to restore your smile if you are missing most or all of your teeth. This treatment requires the removal of all of your remaining teeth, so it is typically only recommended for patients with extensive tooth loss. During treatment, our dentists will work with you to create a set of durable, custom-fitted dentures that will look and function just like your natural teeth.
